Shhhh....this is sneaky stuff....

....just wanted to give a warning for those who are not ready in order to get ready: the applications for the next National Trainers Team will be opening up pret-ty soon. So, what, are you still hesitating?? Then this is the time to ask questions from the current NTT! For instance right here in the comments section:)

But what does it mean to be a member of the NTT ?
Oh well, it can mean a lot of things. But mainly you as a member of the NTT can put things into priority order as you see fit. As this is still quite a new team (this is the 2nd team at the moment) there is a lot new to be developed. So far we have concentrated on making quality Train the Trainer seminars (twice a year) and Train the Advanced seminar (once a year). In addition to this our other priority has been trying to create training culture in AIESEC in Finland by creating trainers pool & giving support & sessions in national seminars.

But maybe you're thinking you do not know enough of training/facilitation in order to become a NTT member?
Who would be suitable?
Do not worry, you don't need to know everything about anything, the most important thing is that you have the willingness&eagerness for this job and truly want to train future AIESEC Finland trainers. Also what is very important for this job, is that you have the time for it & that you are able to work online a lot, since it's not often possible for NTT members to see face to face in other times than in seminars. If you are interested about being in NTT, but do not know about training/facilitation we still have our trainings this spring - TtT in Jyväskylä and TtAT in Tampere - which to participate, where'll you'll get all the information you need (and some more;).

But what is it like to be in the NTT?
For one thing, which I am not kidding I swear, it is a hellofalot fun!! Especially after a training once I see that participants have actually enjoyed as much as I did or learnt something new, it is really an empowering feeling to yourself as well! Sure working in NTT is not always just fun (especially when it comes down to writing outputs, which btw, I still swear I will deliver on one beautiful day;) but all learning comes through struggles & challenges. The best thing in this team -as in any other I suppose - is that you can always share with other team members what ever you're feeling. And enjoy the ride because the more you give the more you get!
Still thinking? Maybe, yes, definitely??!

Upcoming training: Train the Trainer!

Next "Train the Trainer" seminar is going to be held on 6-8.3 in Jyväskylä!

Here is info about the training:

We invite you to take part in "Train the Trainer" seminar, where you can learn more about yourself and develop your training and facilitating skills. Now is your chance to participate in this training!

Discover the world of training and facilitation!
Our first local Train the Trainer seminars took place in year 2007. Those seminars turned out to be very successful and it showed that these seminars are highly needed and bring lots of benefits for our members. Train the Trainer seminar is organized by the National Trainers Team and is available for every active member, especially for the Executive Boards and other members in leadership positions.

Why to learn how to train people?
- You develop your public speaking and presentation skills
- You contribute into the learning of others, while learning by giving trainings yourself
- You learn more about people & about how they learn and communicate with each other

The training starts at 5pm on Friday and lasts until 5pm on Sunday, so if you want to be part of the seminar, you need to be ready to commit to the whole weekend. For further details contact any NTT member.

Sign up for the training latest by 1st of March by sending your filled form to the NTT member Ulla Tirronen (ulla.tirronen [at] uta.fi - this is also where you can get the sign-up form;).

DELEGATE FEE FOR THE WHOLE WEEKEND IS 20 EUROS (including food, floor accommodation, material and trainers' travel costs).

What is the content of the training?
During this training you get both theoretical knowledge, as well as an opportunity to put the theory into practice. You will:
- find out who is a trainer and a facilitator
- learn about different tools and ways of how to deliver a training
- learn about different learning styles and personalities
- learn about yourself as a trainer
- learn how to give and receive feedback
- plan and implement your own training in reality
- Have lots of fun!!
So come to the training and challenge yourself!

Feel free to spread this news in your own LC :)
